Resurrection Faith Formation Mission Statement:
The mission of the Resurrection Faith Formation program is to build an effective partnership with the parents and guardians of our learners by developing the foundation of faith that has been constructed within the family. We seek to accomplish this by providing comprehensive formation into life as a disciple of Jesus Christ through:

• Message/Word: Guiding families toward a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith by sharing Jesus’ message of love through Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Worship/Prayer: Helping families to grow spiritually by providing a variety of communal prayer and worship experiences that involve people in the sacramental life of the Church.
• Moral Formation: Helping to nurture a mature faith that leads families to become true disciples of Christ through the moral teachings of the Church.
• Community: Helping to develop meaningful relationships between families and the parish and wider community.
• Service/Missionary Spirit: Empowering families to work for social justice by serving those in need, promoting peace, and defending the life and dignity of all people.

Through these tasks of catechesis we seek to help every child attain an intimate relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and with the Catholic Church.

We are dedicated to continuing and nurturing the Kingdom of God here on earth!

• The Diocese of Pittsburgh requires two years of formation prior to the celebrations of First Eucharist and Confirmation.
